This song was written when the covid outbreak reached Australia. Andrea wrote it as a thank you to her Patreon supporters and they were then invited to sing on the song as a Patreon Choir as well as feature in the music video. The music video was produced by Alex Bordoni in LA and is Andrea's first internationally produced music video. It was shot in LA and the Sunshine Coast, Australia.
lyrics
Verse 1:
My whole world came crumbling down
I watched it all just slip away
I couldn’t find my feet upon the ground
And life got harder every day
Pre chorus:
Please tell my family that I miss them
Please tell my friends I’ll see you soon
Although times have been tough like never before
You know the sun will come shining through
Chorus:
Oh I believe that we shall overcome
Yes I believe, we shall overcome
Verse 2:
If I could save you from the struggle I would
Wish it all away on a star in the sky
I’d make it all better, oh if only I could
Cause I’d do anything not to see you cry
Pre chorus:
Please tell my family that I love them
Please tell my friends I’ll see you soon
Although times have been tough like never before
You know the sun will come shining through
Chorus:
Oh, I believe that we shall overcome
Yes I believe, we shall overcome
Verse 3:
I know words won’t make things better
We got so many problems on our minds
But you got a friend and that’s forever
Yeah we will make it through just give it time
Pre chorus:
Please tell my family that I love them
Please tell my friends I’ll see you soon
Although times have been crazy like never before
You know the sun will come shining through
Chorus:
Oh, I believe that we shall overcome
Yes I believe, we shall overcome
Yes I believe that we shall overcome
Yes I believe, we shall overcome
Breakdown:
Oooh (I believe)
Oooh (Oh we shall overcome)
Oooooh
Oooooooooh (YEAH OH)
Choir Chorus:
I believe, that we shall overcome
Yes I believe, we shall overcome (Yeah, Come on)
I believe, that we shall overcome
Yes I believe, we shall overcome
